Genetics Consolidated is the holdingcompany of Diamond Genetics, Euro Genes, AI Total, and AMS Genetics. Together, we ensure that the quality of our breeding programs continues to improve, keeping us at the forefront of innovation.

It’s no surprise that we’ve grown tremendously in recent years. Today, we work with 30 colleagues worldwide, producing and distributing 10,000 embryos annually while improving genetic quality.

From 3 cows to 150 bulls

During his studies, Jan began buying bulls from Dutch livestock farmers and selling them to major breeding companies. Over the first ten years, this led to the growth of Diamond Genetics and later Eurogenes into leading suppliers of genetics to international breeding organizations. In 2010, when an American competitor decided to shut down, he seized the opportunity to acquire the company. This move allowed Genetics Consolidated to expand even further.

We have now established a solid foundation with 30 employees, 150 bulls, and 10,000 embryos per year. Our base is located in the rural area of Wijhe, a charming village along the IJssel River in Holland. We can proudly call our location a truly green working environment.

About our expertise

At Genetics Consolidated and its labels, we are involved daily in genetic selection and decision-making, harvesting oocytes, caring for our livestock, and selling and distributing genetic products worldwide. With great passion, our colleagues work hard to grow our organization.

Innovation is a key part of our strategy. We have our own lab, which is quite unique for a company of our size. All our departments operate using SAP. In terms of language and international presence, we have employees from various countries. For instance, a dedicated staff member manages the Former Soviet States, while a Chinese team member handles imports from China. Additionally, we have offices in Kazakhstan and the United States. With 90% of our customers located outside the Netherlands, our base in Wijhe truly places us at the center of the world.

Our down-to-earth culture

“Just be normal”—that phrase perfectly describes our company. As a no-nonsense, informal organization nestled between the pastures of Wijhe in Overijssel, we’ve come a long way with level-headed thinking. In other words: hard work, rolling up our sleeves, and helping each other out. But success also deserves to be celebrated because, as grounded as we are, we’re also proud.

On our work floor, you’ll find a strong do-it-yourself mentality, and we lend a hand where needed. You’re encouraged to get involved in all aspects of our business—even if it means helping to sweep the barn because the mayor is visiting. Together, we are stronger, and together, we move forward.

We value being direct, open, and honest. Down-to-earth. That also includes a healthy dose of humor. And how about some fun outings and activities? Every year, we host a sports day, and several times a year, we organize an auction of the animals from our barn, complete with a barbecue for customers and employees. During Christmas and Sinterklaas, we pull out all the stops, and on quieter days, we enjoy Friday afternoon drinks together. Even birthdays aren’t overlooked. Being down-to-earth is also just about having a great time—no fuss, just good company.
